Manufacturing continues to be on the rise, a recent manufacturing business report released the unit ratings in 2017 for productivity and overall labor costs. Labor productivity for manufacturing increased by 5.7% in comparison to the previous year. Other results showed that labor hours and offered company overtime increased by over 3%. These ratings were the largest quarterly increases in manufacturing productivity and output since 2010.
Our company is proud to be apart of this growth within manufacturing of the United States. We will continue to dedicate ourselves for advancement within the demanding markets that we serve. Governor Kim Reynolds Visits Oskaloosa
During her stop she discussed her vision for Iowa is one that is overflowing with opportunity. Reynolds said her vision includes expanding workforce education to enhance skilled trades and other various industries.Iowa Governor, Kim Reynolds, made a stop in Oskaloosa, Iowa on Saturday January 20th, 2018 as part of her ‘Unleashing Opportunity’ tour.
Reynolds also spoke upon new Iowa jobs being created, apprentice programs arising throughout the state, and other influential opportunities for Iowa during 2018.
- The manufacturing sector claimed to have added 15K jobs in January of 2018 and a total of 186K manufacturing jobs in the last year.
- Construction added 36K jobs within the year of 2017. Other reports show that this number will continue to increase.
